State-of-the-art wellhead tubing inspection technology — no radiation, fast mobilization, and comprehensive defect detection.
The WellTech 4X™ is a portable, computerized, rig floor tubing inspection system for inspecting tubing as it is being pulled from the well service rig floor. Tubing can travel through the head bidirectionally, but the inspection process takes place as the pipe is pulled out of the well.
Commands (i.e. gain, etc.) are controlled by the computer. Each data channel is displayed on the software for easy interpretation. Inspection for service-induced flaws are performed by sensors located close to the tubing for excellent sensitivity.
No Radiation Technology
The WellTech 4X™ utilizes the latest Hall effect sensors and DOES NOT USE GAMMA RADIATION, making it safer for workers and the environment.

The WellTech 5™ is the latest evolution in the WellTech product line — a 5th generation EMI rig floor tubing inspection system for tubing 2 3/8" to 4 1/2" O.D. (with coupling). Designed for next-level inspection capabilities directly on the rig floor, it delivers fast, accurate, and reliable assessments of tubing conditions as pipe is pulled from the well.
The system uses a solid-state Hall effect detection system to identify service-induced flaws such as pitting, cracks, rod wear, and wall thinning. Its powerful DC magnetizing coil encircles the tubing for comprehensive inspections — with zero radiation, ever.
Most Compact WellTech Yet
The WellTech 5™ is the smallest and most efficient model in the WellTech line — optimized for rig floor use with a smaller footprint, easier handling, and faster setup. Includes the optional WellTech Hot Rod sucker rod inspection add-on.

Stimtech uses the newest, state-of-the-art, high-speed technology for wellhead pipe inspection. It is the only six-function wellhead inspection unit and is the #1 selling wellhead inspection system in the world.
The system features a non-contact design capable of inspecting production tubing without making contact — and can pull wet string or string with paraffin. The standard unit is Class 1 Division 2 safety rated.
OD Pitting
Outer diameter corrosion and pitting detection
ID Pitting
Inner diameter corrosion and pitting detection
Wall Loss
Rod wear and longitudinal wall loss measurement
Holes
Through-wall hole detection (1/16" diameter and larger)
Splits
Longitudinal split detection via SPLIT-Check™
Rod Wear
Coupling wear and rod wear identification
A programmable power supply produces a constant current for magnetizing the tubing. The system can inspect at a rate of up to 200 ft/min.
Monitoring both magnetic fields around and within the tubing, any flaw such as rod-wear or corrosion is detected by electronics located up to 120 feet away.
The embedded computer sorts out defects and produces a trace-like record of each tube and a profile of the whole string on a laptop computer.
